- contacts victim within 72 hours after becoming aware of the crime and informs them of their rights.
- refers victim to any social service agency they may need(Domestic violence, psychological, medical treatment, etc.).
- informs victim of terms of restitution and/or compensation rights.
- obtains from the victim their feelings about the crime and their feelings toward the defendant and sentencing through victim questionaire, phone conversation and/or personal visit.
- represents and accompanies the victim in court if he/she so desires.
